A dental clinic built around not hurting people
Abhinav Dental Care & Orthodontic Centre has been treating patients in Madan Mahal, Jabalpur for over fifteen years. It is led by Dr. Abhinav Shrivastava, an MDS-qualified orthodontist and cosmetic dental surgeon, alongside Dr. Anubhuti Shrivastava MDS.
Most people who walk into a dental clinic are, to some degree, dreading it. That fear is usually built on a specific past experience of pain. Almost everything about how we run this practice follows from taking that seriously: proper topical anaesthetic before the injection, waiting until a tooth is genuinely numb before starting, explaining what is about to happen before it happens, and stopping when a patient raises a hand.
Meet the doctors
Dr. Abhinav Shrivastava, MDS
Orthodontist & Cosmetic Dental Surgeon
Dr. Abhinav leads the clinic’s orthodontic and smile-design work — metal, ceramic, lingual and gold braces, clear aligner planning, veneers and full smile makeovers — as well as implant placement. He plans every orthodontic case personally from the initial records through to debonding and retention, rather than handing cases on.
Dr. Anubhuti Shrivastava, MDS
Dental Surgeon
Dr. Anubhuti handles painless root canal treatment, gum therapy, crowns and preventive care. Patients with significant dental anxiety, and young children on their first visit, are usually most comfortable in her chair.
What we treat
The clinic is set up so that a patient is not sent elsewhere partway through their treatment. General dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontal treatment, oral surgery and cosmetic work are all carried out here.

- Ceramic and zirconia crowns, bridges and complete dentures
- Gum treatment, including laser gum therapy
- Wisdom tooth and surgical extractions
- Teeth whitening, veneers and smile designing
- Digital dental X-rays on site
- Children’s dentistry and preventive care
Equipment, and why it matters to you
Equipment is not interesting in itself. What matters is what it changes about your appointment.
- Apex locators tell us electronically where a root ends, so root canals are cleaned to the correct length. This is a major reason modern root canals succeed and feel better than they used to.
- Dental lasers cut soft tissue while sealing small vessels — less bleeding, often no stitches, faster healing for gum contouring and implant uncovering.
- Digital radiography gives a diagnostic image in seconds at a fraction of the radiation of film, and lets us show you on screen what we are talking about.
- Rotary endodontics shapes canals more efficiently and more comfortably than hand files.
Sterilisation
Every instrument that enters a patient’s mouth is cleaned, packed and autoclaved. Needles, gloves, suction tips, gauze and barriers are single-use and disposed of after each patient. Surfaces are disinfected between appointments. This is not a feature — it is the baseline, and you are welcome to ask us about our protocol.
How we work
- We explain before we treat. You should leave the consultation knowing what is wrong, what the options are, what each one costs and what happens if you do nothing.
- We save teeth where they can be saved. Extraction is quicker and cheaper on the day and worse for you in the long run. We will tell you when a tooth is genuinely not restorable, and we will tell you when it is.
- We will tell you when you do not need treatment. If a professional cleaning is all you need, we are not going to sell you whitening.
- We take dental anxiety seriously. Tell us when you book. It changes how we pace the appointment.
- We keep visits to a minimum that is clinically safe, because most of our patients are working and cannot take repeated time off.
